UL Certification

UL has developed more than 1000 standards for safety to ensure public safety and confidence, reduce costs, improve quality and market products and services. Millions of products and their components are tested to UL's rigorous safety standards with the result that product users live in a safer environment than they would have otherwise.

ETL

ETL Testing Laboratories, Inc. is recognized throughout the United States as an alternative to Underwriters Laboratories (UL). The ETL safety label is accepted as being equal to that of UL, American National Standards Institute (ANSI) or International Electro-technical Commission (IEC) standards in a labeling, listing and follow-up program.

CE Certification

The CE marking is a mandatory European marking for certain product groups to indicate conformity with the essential health and safety requirements set out in European Directives. To permit the use of a CE mark on a product, proof that the item meets the relevant requirements must be documented. Sometimes this is achieved using an external test house which evaluates the product and its documentation. Often it is achieved by a company-internal self-certification process.

Canadian Standards Association (CSA) Certification

CSA International certification marks indicate that a product, process or service has been tested to a Canadian or U.S. standard and it meets the requirements of an applicable CSA standard or another recognized document used as a basis for certification. CSA International tests products for the North American and International markets against applicable standards including those of the Canadian Standards Association (CSA), Underwriters Laboratories (UL), NSF National Sanitation Foundation (NSF), American National Standards Institute (ANSI) and other agencies.

Federal Communications Commission

Heraeus Noblelight America lamps are classified as non-consumer industrial, scientific and medical (ISM) equipment, as defined in Federal Communication Commission (FCC) Rules and Regulations Volume 47, Part 18.  As required by these rules, Heraeus Noblelight America verifies that their systems are capable of compliance with applicable technical standards governing radiated emissions when the equipment is properly maintained and is installed in an appropriate light shield.

ISM equipment emits electromagnetic energy on frequencies within the radio frequency spectrum  The FCC regulates this equipment in order to prevent harmful interference to authorized radio communication services.

IECEE CB Scheme

The “IECEE CB Scheme” is based on international standards and is a multilateral agreement among the IECEE member countries and their respective organizations.

Currently some fifty countries are members of the IECEE. UV systems, such as the Heraeus Noblelight America F300S/SQ possessing IECEE CB Scheme certification require no further regulatory compliance testing prior to being accepted by the member countries.
